Text Box:

Welcome to Charleston Charter School for Math & Science

(CCSMS), a public school.

Originating with a group of Charleston County parents and community leaders who envisioned a school that would offer a rigorous education in an innovative learning environment,

CCSMS will open with grades 6 through 9 for the 2008-2009 school year with grades added each subsequent year, building to grade 12 by 2011.  The school held a public lottery on January 15, 2008 and has begun enrolling students.  If you missed the lottery and would like to be put on the waiting list for 2008-2009, please download the application from our website or call 628-1200 for an application.

As a  charter school, CCSMS does not charge tuition.  Charter schools are public schools, and are funded by taxpayer dollars.

We hope the information in these pages will encourage you to find out more about our school.
